This series 'Glow' is a collection of pieces inspired by nature, mystery and magic. The connection to the mysterious phosphorescent glow of nature and the bioluminescent water bodies, illuminated by the phenomenal, psychedelic creatures that light up in the dark night. This wondrous light filled coloured glow, is gifted by nature and our desire to seek light and colour not only on land but also within the extraordinary depths of the deep ocean and rare bodies of water across our planet that allow us to capture this phenomenon. It is nature's finest.... the unknown glow, an awe and a wonder.
This range is handcrafted at my studio in Perth, Western Australia, from recycled pieces of perspex which I collect from manufacturers discarded offcuts. Within my jewellery practice I consciously use materials which I collect and find that may be destined for landfill. All of my work is handcrafted, hand-etched, designed and made in Australia.
