Grace Hummerston is a Melbourne-born jewellery designer and maker from Perth, Western Australia. She has a full-time practice operating from her studio in the inner-city. Her work predominantly consists of super bright, translucent and high-key colour recycled acrylic, which she designs and laser-cuts.
Her pieces are created from industrial discard, with the intention of diverting plastic waste from entering landfill by extending the life through creative re-use practices.
All of Grace's pieces are designed, hand etched, painted and are all one-off, unique pieces made from perspex, sterling silver, rose gold and artist quality acrylic paint.
Grace draws inspiration from 1970s, 80s and 90's fashion, culture and design aesthetics. Fun and spontaneity are at the heart of her work, which uses big, bold and fun shapes, pattern and bright colours to create unique statement pieces in limited themed editions.
