This series 'Behind the Invisible' was inspired by the battle women have endured to be seen, heard and valued worldwide. A movement of power within the feminine world has enabled a voice, a strength to face up and have the courage to move forward withholding a place on this earth. A place of beauty, compassion, acceptance, understanding and pride.
Each one of my pieces is hand-crafted from recycled perspex, collected from manufacturers discarded off-cuts. Within my practice I aim to divert this plastic from landfill by repurposing it and creating a new life in the form of wearable art.
These bangles are a limited edition of 4, crafted from recycled perspex and acrylic paint. Thoughtfully packaged in a velvet bag- screen printed in Fremantle, WA.
